MyEDHEC Shadow Copil was a project implemented last year to develop a single sign-on platform for the students. It aimed to integrate numerous solutions such as that for course management, daily classes schedule and administration tasks on one unified platform. To make the student experience worthwhile, a mobile application, the first ever of its kind, was also implemented together with the web application.
The project is now live on both mobile as well as on the internet. Students use it almost everyday to receive important notifications about the EDHEC life. It sure was a successful launch.
I was chosen to be on the panel comprising of only a handful of students and professors to streamline the workflow of this application. I believe I was given this opportunity due to my elaborate experience in web design and development, my contribution to the IT department of EDHEC Consulting Club and my networking skills. I love to meet and interact with new people learning their experiences and life and this habit of mine has helped me achieve so much.
The project was a collaborative learning as this was the first time I was not just testing from technical perspective; a huge part of my responsibility involved improvising the functional aspects - the alignment business goals with the execution of technical specifications and looking at the development from both a developer and an end user point of view.
Overall it was a great involvement and I am really thankful to all the professors and people who believed in me.
Every time you are about to give up, just say to yourself, just one more minute. It can make wonders.
