EDHEC India: First Indian Association
Cultural Integration
Upon arriving at EDHEC, I recognized a significant opportunity to enrich the school's diverse student life by establishing a formal platform for Indian culture and community. My vision was to move beyond informal student gatherings and create a permanently recognized, high-impact cultural association.
I led the founding and institutional launch of EDHEC India, successfully navigating the administrative process to create the first official Indian student association at the Business School. This required securing endorsements, drafting a strategic organizational charter, and proving the initiative's long-term value to the administration.
Cultural Diplomacy and Signature Event Execution
As the foundational step, we aimed for an event that would immediately establish our presence and reputation. We successfully executed the inaugural Diwali celebration on the EDHEC campus. This was a major cross-cultural initiative that required leadership and logistical precision.
My role involved end-to-end strategic oversight: managing the budget, leading a diverse volunteer team, and securing collaboration from senior administrative officials, including the International Student Office (ISO) Head Mme. Céline MARSY, the Student Director Mr. Bruno MAYEUR, and the Director of M1 Mme. Christine COISNE.
The success of the inaugural celebration was a powerful moment. It showed that we had not only founded a lasting institution but had also created a vibrant space for genuine cultural exchange. The event was a testament to the power of community, successfully bringing together students from over 80 nationalities and significantly enriching the international experience on the EDHEC campus.
A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.
